Shipping Rules and Policy
US Customers: PLEASE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE SECTION
to understand when and how tariffs/import charges
are affecting your order.
The process starts with packing your item(s)
We put a lot of work in describing and packing your items securely. Each item is showcased from all angles. If it doesn't come in a box, we wrap it in styro or bubble wrap.
The packing box is light and sturdy. We select them from local merchants, in appropriate sizes for your order. We keep the size small to minimize the shipping rate, yet large enough to ensure your items do not sit jammed inside.
We know they are fragile, therefore cushioning is crucial, while minimizing rocking. Your items are sealed in bubble wrap. There are packing chips/peanuts surrounding them. Fillers in all corners of the box. Extra care taken.
Duck tape and film/scotch tape seals the box. Your address is printed clearly and the label is also film-sealed.
We cannot stress enough the importance of sealing/securing the box from our end, and having it shipped with a tracking number. Tracked shipping eliminate ungrounded claims from any party involved in the process. A tracking number acts as evidence of the shipment's existence -without a tracking number many carriers may not accept a claim, as noted for Canada Post in some case.
No tracking number means it is nearly impossible to track a lost package. Investigation stops short in absence of a last known location. The Proof of Shipment validates that the package was handed over to the courier, which is necessary for insurance claims. Claims with tracking information can sometimes be processed more easily, particularly if the package was insured
After your order is placed, the Packing & Shipping process starts - we take 6h minimum and 2 days maximum, depending on the day and time your payment is confirmed.
A silica sachet is added to your box whenever possible, to address potential moisture issues in warehouses while the box sits in longer transits.
Again: the size of your box is minimized as much as possible to get the best rate; however, the box will be large enough to ensure items have cushioning space around them.
YES, We do combined shipping, and encourage it.
Checkout process may differ with local cookies based on the country you access our store from. If you are not given the option of combined shipping, we will refund the excess dollar paid, via PayPal or another method you are comfortable with and we agree on.
Local Pick Up
Local Pick-Up is accepted.
The pick-up location is Fairview Mall - Toronto (Ontario, Canada), with no exception.
We will agree on the date and time to meet on the premises, and you or the person picking up for you will bring a picture/phone screen of your order.
We will also agree on a 4-6-8 pick-up code that you will present at the time of pick-up, to authorize the transaction.
While we encourage electronic payment, cash payment may be agreed on at the time of pick-up. You are expected to respect the Golden Rule, and treat us like you want to be treated.
As such, please be respectful - both physically and verbally. Any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated. At the first indication of foul language or disrespectful behavior, your transaction will be canceled and any prior payment made to us will be refunded to you. Your purchasing price is firm, and any lowballing activity will be ignored and may lead to cancelation of your transaction.
Shipping rules
Shipping rates vary by destination, box size, box weight and the shipping method you select.
We ship safely and securely, using Canada Post as the main carrier. It often proves, by far, the cheapest and most convenient solution on the market: it partners with the public postal service in your country.
We will gladly ship with other carriers by your specific request. You must keep in mind though, that other carriers may charge you additional fees at destination, especially if it is a residential address. FedEx and UPS have specific rules for items that they accept or reject, and such added cost are out of our control and anticipation. Please check with your local carrier for any delivery surcharges. We are not and cannot be held responsible for any post-shipping costs that you may incur.
To minimize the number of variables and amount of risk, we recommend Tracked Shipping with Canada Post wherever possible and applicable.
Several factors (location, browser cookies and cache, privacy limitations) affect how this platform displays the shipping information when you browse. If your preferred shipping carrier is not listed on the checkout page, please try browsing the page with a different browser or contact us - we will offer you the shipping quote and process the order manually: you will select the Local Pickup service and pay for your shipping separately via PayPal - you will get a tracking number for your order afterwards.

Details on tariffs
and shipping
for US Customers
You are responsible for tariffs / import charges.
The fastest and most transparent shipping process is offered by Canada Post , with tariffs paid before shipping.
Past experience with FedEx and UPS has shown that some customers may be charged a "Service Fee" and/or "Residential Address Fee" at the point of delivery. Please check with your local carrier for any delivery surcharges. We are not and cannot be held responsible for any post-shipping costs that you may incur.
To ensure a smooth and transparent process, we recommend Tracked Shipping with Canada Post . It is advertised to reach a US address in 4-7 business days.
Canada Post has partnered with ZONOS to estimate and have tariffs paid prior to issuing a shipping label.
The tariffs are estimated based on the country of origin, and they fall under the HS/HTS tariff code 9503.00.00 (sometimes known as the 8-digit HS code). The full 10-digit HTS code is 9503.00.3000.
The 8-digit code notes: "Tricycles, scooters, pedal cars and similar wheeled toys; dollsʼ carriages; dolls, other toys; reduced-scale (“scaleˮ) models and similar recreational models, working or not; puzzles of all kinds; parts and accessories thereof".
The 10-digit code notes: "Electric trains, including tracks, signals and other accessories therefor; reduced-size (scale) model assembly kits".
Several shipments have been classified under either one of the two codes, and bear a 15% typical tariff charge.
The HTS link with this information is:
https://hts.usitc.gov/search?query=9503
For a specific case, visit Zonos.com for more information and an estimate.
Zonos typically estimates tariffs at 15% plus a Border Clearance Fee.
The clearance fee is: 1.99 CAD +10% of the tariff quoted.
To conclude: your delivery cost is:
• the shipping rate
• +15% of the value of your item (the tariff rate)
• + 1.99 CAD
• +10% of the tariff quoted.
DO NOT pay for the items without paying for tariffs, unless you are requesting shipping with a carrier that will explicitly charge them at the destination. If you are not comfortable with the total cost of your order, it will be canceled.
Please reach out if you need a quote for shipping and/or tariffs to your destination.
If you select a more expensive shipping method that will cover the tariffs fee too - we will happily refund any difference in your favor that may come up.
We will be promptly and transparently stay in touch with you throughout the payment /packing /shipping process.
Thanks to Zonos partnership, Canada Post clears the Customs faster and in a transparent manner, with no added charges on delivery. Our goal is a long relationship with you and you are asked to complete the purchase only after you understand the full terms of the process.
